Kangaroo Valley Craft Beer and BBQ Festival
July 4, 2018
If you’re after something a bit different and a great day out, you might want to consider a trip down to the picturesque Kangaroo Valley to pay a visit to the annual Kangaroo Valley Craft Beer and BBQ Festival.
The Kangaroo Valley Village local, The Friendly Inn, is hosting this event. But there’s a serious side to this day out; The Australian BBQ Alliance holds one of a series of BBQ competitions on the day. Yes… Its really a thing!! Competitors come from far and wide to particpate at the event. There is even a leaderboard which keeps track of competitors scoring at similar events throughout the year. Although the competitions strict rules and regulations don’t allow competitors to sell their food to members of the public… don’t worry… there will be plenty of caterers selling BBQ related wares from their stalls on the day. (I’m getting hungry just thinking about it).
Not only are you in for slap-up BBQ meal, but you can also taste test the craft beers on sale and all the while sit back, relax and laugh at the pig racing event.
Touchdown Helicopters will be particpating again this year offering joyflights over the local area. Kangaroo Valley Village is situated amongst lush green countryside surrounded mountainous cliff faces, gorges and chasms, providing spectacular scenery, which can only truly be appreciated from the seat of a helicopter.
