Private Pilots License – PPL(H)
This allows you to fly for pleasure, take your mates, loved one(s), or family on flights in a private capacity. You may not however fly for hire or reward on a PPL(H).

Description
The following requirements must be met to obtain a PPL(H): –
- Be at least 17 years of age
- Hold a Class 1 or Class 2 Medical
- Completed 40 hours of flight training consisting of: –
- 30 hours in a helicopter
- 10 hours solo in a helicopter
- 5 hours solo navigational flight in a helicopter
(one flight must be at least 100nm and landed at 2 other locations)
- Have passed a PPL(H) Knowledge Exam and Flight Test.
