Night VFR Rating – NVFR(H)
This rating allowed you to fly at night, under Visual Flight Navigation Rules. Prior to obtaining a NVFR(H) Rating, you will require either a Private or Commercial Helicopter Licence.

Description
This rating allowed you to fly at night, under Visual Flight Navigation Rules. Prior to obtaining a NVFR(H) Rating, you will require either a Private or Commercial Helicopter Licence.
The Theory Component consists of a pass in the Touchdown Helicopters in-house night VFR theory exam which has a 100% pass mark and consists of the following subjects:
- Night VFR specific Air Law
- Navigational Aids
- Night VFR Instrumentation
- Night VFR Procedures
Flight Component – A minimum of 14 hours flight experience is required. This includes dual flight time, split into general night flying and navigation exercises and 1 hour of solo flight in the circuit pattern.
Endorsement on at least 1 radio navigational aid.
A flight test consisting of a minimum of 2.5 hours flight time
