Girls on fires come to Snowy Monaro

November 25, 2024

Pays Helicopters, a branch of Touchdown Helicopters, was proud to participate in the Girls on Fire event, an inspiring initiative that encourages young girls to explore careers in firefighting and aviation. As a company committed to supporting the wider community, we believe it’s essential to show young people the exciting opportunities that exist in the aviation and emergency services industries. By participating in Girls on Fire, we had the chance to share our passion for helicopters and highlight the diverse range of careers available in these fields.

Our team was excited to engage with participants, sharing our knowledge and experiences with those eager to learn more. We demonstrated the capabilities of our helicopters, talked about the technical skills involved in flying and firefighting, and gave insight into what it’s like working in such a dynamic, high-stakes environment. The event provided a unique opportunity for girls to ask questions, learn hands-on skills, and discover how they can pursue their own career paths in aviation or firefighting.

Getting involved in events like Girls on Fire is not only about showcasing the work we do at Pays Helicopters; it’s about inspiring the next generation to break barriers and pursue their passions. It’s so important to encourage young girls to see themselves in roles that may traditionally be male-dominated and to realize that they have the potential to succeed in any field. We are proud to be part of a movement that promotes gender equality in aviation and emergency services and hope that our involvement continues to inspire future female pilots, engineers, and firefighters. At Pays Helicopters, we are committed to supporting the growth of young women in aviation and making the industry more accessible to everyone.
